 Arctostaphylos uva- ursi:
- Approved by commission e/ Germany for:

-The phenol glucosides and their aglyca have an antibacterial effect. This herb has urine- sterilizing properties that are attributed to bacteriostatic hydroquinones conjugates of glucuronic acid and sulfuric acid.
- Uva ursi cause significant diuresis and eliminate 100% of the hyptotonic saline solution overload at 5.75 hours compared to 5.33 hours for hydrochlorothiazide.
Uva ursi did not increase sodium or potassium excretion while hydrochlorothiazide had a natriuretic effect.
- The authors of American guide for medicinal herbs (PDR) conclude that the use of uva- ursi as a diuretic agent is justified by the study results, (beaux et al, 1999).

Equisetum arvense has shown to increase duiresis and reduce uric acid content in the blood by increasing uric acid clearing and excretion rates. Plasma composition was improved as well as excretion of calcium and anorganic phosphorus.
o Contraindications:
Equisetum arvense is contraindicated in patients who have edema due to impaired heart or kidney function.
 Phaseolus vulgaris:

dosage and administration:

middle spoon , or tea bag from the mixture to a glass of boiled water /capacity of 150 ml. ( boiled previously) then cover it for ten minutes, filter it and have it warm half an hour before the meal.
